This 15 Nights, 16 Days Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lakes is a thrilling high-altitude adventure that combines iconic Himalayan landscapes, serene glacial lakes, and a crossing of the challenging Cho La Pass. The journey begins with a scenic mountain flight to Lukla, followed by a trek through charming Sherpa villages and forests to Phakding and onward to the bustling Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. After a vital acclimatization day with hikes to Everest View Hotel and Khumjung, the trail veers off the classic EBC route into the quieter and stunning Gokyo Valley. Trekkers ascend through Dole and Machhermo, eventually reaching Gokyo, where they explore its pristine lakes and summit Gokyo Ri (5,357m) for breathtaking panoramas of Everest, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. The trek then crosses the Ngozumpa Glacier to Thangnak before tackling the demanding Cho La Pass (5,420m), descending into the remote village of Dzongla. From there, the route rejoins the traditional EBC trail, heading through Lobuche to reach Gorakshep, the final stop before visiting Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and climbing Kala Patthar (5,545m) for dramatic sunrise views. The descent passes through Pheriche, Tengboche, and Namche Bazaar, eventually returning to Lukla. After a flight back to Kathmandu, the journey concludes with a celebratory farewell dinner.
