Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, participants will be greeted and transferred to Nepal Ghar Hotel in the city centre. The day is dedicated to acclimatisation and resting after the journey.

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a vibrant and historic metropolis nestled in the Kathmandu Valley. Known for its rich cultural heritage, Kathmandu is a melting pot of diverse traditions, architecture, and lifestyles. The city is home to numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including ancient temples, palaces, and stupas, such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Kathmandu offers a bustling atmosphere with lively markets, narrow alleys, and colourful streets, where visitors can immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and flavours of Nepali culture.

Dinner will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 PM, followed by an early bedtime at 9:00 PM.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, your first day of the trip will start with a full day of exploration with storytelling guidance in Kathmandu City, a place rich in cultural heritage and ancient history. Begin with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa , also known as the Monkey Temple, a sacred site for both Buddhists and Hindus offering stunning views of Kathmandu Valley. Swayambhunath Stupa is not just a destination; it is an experience that touches the heart and soul. It invites you to pause, reflect, and connect with a sense of something greater than yourself.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (Daal Bhat Set Menu) in the Kathmandu area before proceeding to your second destination - Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic complex located in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. It is renowned for its stunning traditional architecture, ancient temples, courtyards, and palaces, which date back to the 12th century. The square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as a cultural and religious hub, showcasing the rich history and artistic heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. Notable structures include the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (home of the living goddess), and the Taleju Temple. After exploring the enchanting sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, return to your hotel to unwind. After some time to rest and refresh, the evening will be dedicated to a spiritual experience at the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Nepal. Here, you will witness the mesmerising Aarati rituals by the Bagmati River, where priests perform an elaborate ceremony with oil lamps, chants, and traditional music, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. Day 3

After a hearty breakfast in Kathmandu, day three of the trip will start with a 1 hour scenic drive to Nagarkot, a serene hill station renowned for its breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas, including the majestic Mount Everest on clear days.

The journey begins with a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square,  with a beautiful story telling session. The square's intricate wood carvings, pagoda-style temples, and bustling marketplaces offer a glimpse into Nepal's historical grandeur. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a captivating historic site located in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Renowned for its well-preserved mediaeval architecture, the square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the Malla period. It features intricate pagoda-style temples, statues, and palaces, including the 55-Window Palace and the Vatsala Temple. The square's vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by bustling marketplaces and traditional Newari architecture, making it a fascinating destination for visitors interested in Nepal's ancient history and craftsmanship.

After your exploration around the Bhaktapur area, take some time to indulge yourself in the traditional art of pottery with an engaging one-hour session. During this hands-on experience, you'll learn about the fascinating process of transforming raw mud into pliable clay, followed by a guided lesson in shaping your own pot on the wheel. This creative activity not only offers insight into the centuries-old craftsmanship of Bhaktapur but also provides a tangible memory of your visit. Afterward, continuing your drive, make a picturesque stop at the Rani-Jhulunga Suspended Bridge, where you can marvel at the sweeping views of the lush countryside below. Begin your day with a refreshing 3 to 4-hour hiking adventure through a scenic nature trail, starting from your hotel and winding through the lush greenery and tranquil landscapes. The trail leads you to Kattike Village, offering glimpses of traditional village life and a sense of harmony with nature. Surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature and breathtaking views, you'll feel deeply connected to your surroundings as you flow through gentle poses, focusing on balance, breath, and mindfulness. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the towering peaks of the Himalayas, your yoga session becomes an uplifting and grounding experience, harmonising body and mind. After your session, indulge in the serene beauty of the day, taking in the panoramic views of the Himalayas, including the awe-inspiring Mahalangur range, Langtang, and Sagarmatha massifs. Day 6

Wake up early to witness a magnificent sunrise with a view of the mountain, a breathtaking start to your day. After an early breakfast at the hotel in Kattike Village, we will set out for a 30-minute drive to the iconic Boudhanath Stupa, an ancient Buddhist site of immense importance in Tibetan Buddhism. Boudhanath Stupa, located in Kathmandu, one of the largest and most iconic stupas in the country. It stands as a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists and is renowned for its massive mandala and serene atmosphere. The stupa features a towering white dome and a golden spire adorned with eyes of the Buddha, symbolising wisdom and compassion. Surrounded by monasteries and vibrant Tibetan culture, Boudhanath Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a centre of spiritual and cultural activities.

Here, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in Buddhist teachings, indulging yourself in the serene and spiritual atmosphere of the stupa while gaining personal insights and growth. Following this enriching experience, enjoy a delightful lunch at the famous terrace of Roadhouse Cafe with an aerial view of the stupa.

In the afternoon, take your time exploring the vibrant surroundings of Boudhanath, soaking in its spiritual ambiance and experiencing the lively local culture. When you feel ready to return to the hotel, transportation will be arranged for you, and your guide will meet you at the pickup spot to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey back after your class concludes.

Day 7

Start your day by heading to this historic and cultural landmark, Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its rich Newari architecture and historical significance,  

Begin your exploration at the Patan Museum, situated within the square. The museum, housed in a beautifully restored palace, offers a fascinating collection of traditional Newari art, including intricate statues, carvings, and religious artefacts that highlight the cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.

Next, visit the Krishna Mandir, an impressive 17th-century temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Notable for its detailed stone carvings depicting scenes from Hindu epics, this temple is a testament to the artistic achievements of the Malla period. Afterward, you will be taken for your (30-45 mins) Sound Healing Therapy near your next destination.

Finishing with your sound therapy, a short walk will take you to the Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, or the Golden Temple, a renowned Buddhist monastery famous for its golden facade and intricate metalwork. Explore the serene courtyards and marvel at the craftsmanship.

Continue your visit to the Mahaboudha Temple, also known as the “Temple of a Thousand Buddhas.” This temple is distinctive for its terracotta tiles, each featuring a small Buddha image, creating a stunning visual effect.

After your exploration, you can enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant or cafe, savouring local cuisine while reflecting on the rich cultural experiences of the day. Patan Durbar Square offers a deep dive into Nepal’s artistic and historical legacy, making it a memorable destination.

Start your day with a nourishing breakfast at the hotel, setting a peaceful tone for the day's activities.

From there, start on a one-hour drive to the serene Neydo Tashi Pharping Monastery, located in Pharping, Nepal, is a serene Tibetan Buddhist monastery situated about 22 kilometres from Kathmandu. It offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The monastery is home to approximately 200 monks who study and practise Tibetan Buddhism. The entire day will be dedicated to immersive spiritual activities designed to foster deep introspection and tranquillity. Engage in meditation sessions that invite you to quiet your mind and connect with your inner self. Attend enlightening teachings on Buddhist philosophy, gaining insights into ancient wisdom and practices that have guided countless seekers. The guided tour by the monks will lead you to sacred sites, including the revered Guru Rinpoche's caves and other significant monasteries, enriching your understanding of the spiritual legacy of the area.

Begin your day at the serene Pharping Monastery, where the early morning sunrise casts a golden glow over the valley, creating a perfect backdrop for a refreshing morning meditation. The tranquil atmosphere of the monastery sets the tone for inner peace and mindfulness, allowing you to centre yourself before the day's activities. Following the meditation, indulge in a delicious breakfast at the retreat centre, thoughtfully prepared to nourish both body and soul.

As the day unfolds, indulge yourself in a series of meditation sessions and guided spiritual exercises designed to deepen your spiritual practice and enhance inner reflection. Day 10

After a Spiritual spree in Pharping, you will embark on a scenic drive to Fulbari village, a journey that will take approximately 2-3 hours through the picturesque landscapes of rural Nepal.

Upon arrival at Mundum Farm Stay and Retreat, (a family-owned establishment in Fulbari, Nepal, that offers an authentic Nepali experience. It is committed to sustainability and supporting the local community) who will welcome you with genuine Nepali hospitality. You'll be given a comprehensive tour of the village and its beautiful surroundings, gaining insight into the daily activities and sustainable practices that are at the heart of the farm’s operation. Once you've settled into your cosy accommodation at the farmhouse, spend your time with the farmhouse’s family by watching and getting involved in their daily life activities. These could include picking crops for meals from their farm, helping cook local dishes, feeding the chickens, and participating in many other household activities.

End your day with a short meditation session in a quiet garden Overnight in Baseri Farmstay and Retreat.

Day 11

Begin the day with a morning hike to the village and enjoy your short meditation session at the nature on top of the hill. After returning back to the farm-stay, enjoy the fresh organic breakfast and more in-depth farm chores, allowing you to fully engage in the daily operations of the farm. You might assist with more complex tasks, such as preparing feed, tending to more delicate plants, or helping in the farm's kitchen.

Participate in a hands-on workshop, such as lunch -making, or learning about organic farming techniques. These sessions offer practical skills and a deeper understanding of sustainable practices. This interactive session is both educational and fun, giving you a taste of local culinary traditions.

After a relaxing lunch, followed by some free time. Use this period to unwind, explore the farm on your own, or engage in a favourite activity, such as reading, sketching, or photography.

As the evening sun sets down, enjoy a communal dinner with your hosts and fellow guests, sharing the dishes you’ve helped prepare. The evening might end with a casual gathering, where you can enjoy local music, dance, campfire or simply relax and converse with others.

Day 12

Wake up early in the serene morning for a rejuvenating meditation session, allowing the tranquillity of the surroundings to envelop you. Afterward, savour an organic fresh breakfast, harvested straight from the farm, providing a nourishing start to your day. Bid farewell to the warm and welcoming family of the farm stay, and drive back to Kathmandu for your departure.
